Did you know that over 3,000 miles of streams and waterways are unhealthy in the Cumberland River Basin? That’s roughly the distance from Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon!

No matter where you live in the basin, each and every one of us impacts the health of our waterways. The good news is that we also have the power to protect and restore the water we depend on.

Adopt-A-Stream invites groups to show how much they value our waterways. Through this program, the Cumberland River Compact works with local groups, governments, and organizations to restore and protect local streams. With a network of stewards across the basin, we can make clean water a reality!
