This tree, the only non-native variety of tree we are offering, is simply too lovely to not offer you a chance to plant.  Known, of course, for its blossoms in the springtime, which are a symbol for life’s beauty and frailty.  Beyond just springtime blossoms, you will love this tree, as it gets older with branches that form interesting oriental patterns, one often sees only in Japanese gardens, glossy bark and dark green leaves.  We ask that you only plant this tree if you are unable to plant a large canopy-producing tree due to overhead power lines.  This tree will reach a mature height of 40-50 feet with a canopy spread of 25-40 feet.  This tree does not get very tall and does not produce large load bearing branches, which NES considers an imminent risk to their utility lines.
