Paying tribute to Sgt. Alvin C. York, one of the most decorated soldiers of World War I, this historic State Park is very unique, much like its namesake.

One of the best spots in the area is the water feature beside the old gristmill, which once powered corn into cornmeal. The Wolf River winds around to the side of the mill where the water cascades over a rock wall, creating a beautiful small waterfall.

Step up behind the waterfall near the rock pile for a picturesque perspective of this beauty – some of the rocks can get a bit slick so watch your step! Take a moment to admire the majestic rock cliffs used for shelter by Woodland indigenous people over 3,000 years ago.
