The Herndon J. Evans lodge is the center of the Pine Mountain State Resort and hosts guests year-round with 30 rooms centered within Kentucky’s first state park. Earning a high ranking in Golf Digest as one of the best in the country, the grounds offer both outdoor and indoor practice courses in addition to the incredibly scenic full course. If you are a golf lover, this is a must-see. For family golfers, there is also a quaint 9-hole minigolf course adjacent to the main course open from April through October.
- Events at the Laurel Cove Amphitheater
This beautiful location is available to rent for any special event. Weddings, family reunions, live performances and other momentous occasions have enjoyed the beautiful and natural setting of the Laurel Cove Amphitheater. Bathrooms and dressing rooms are available.
- Cumberland Plateau Birding
The unique ecology of the Cumberland Plateau surrounding the Pine Mountain State Resort is home to species of birds which do not exist anywhere else in the state of Kentucky. The elevation of the environment is conducive to species normally only found in more northern regions of the country.
