Located in the heart of downtown Clarksville, the Roxy Regional Theatre is an area staple for the arts. Originally named The Lillian, the Roxy Theatre has been operating out of the corner of First and Franklin since 1913, offering regional productions of theatre performances and film screenings.
The Roxy’s iconic neon sign serves as a landmark to Franklin Street and Clarksville itself. The theatre’s reach goes far beyond Franklin Street, though, with drama camps and educational theatre outreach that reaches the area’s youth and art exhibitions showcasing the region’s best artists. The Roxy Theatre has also seen its time on the big screen; it has been featured in award-winning music videos, along with regional and national commercials.
