Barren Fork River by Chuck Sutherland

Barren Fork

The Barren Fork, named for its location in the unforested region of Middle Tennessee, is a tributary of the Collins River which flows 23 miles through Warren, Cannon, and Coffee counties. The stream was formerly used as an electric power source and is dammed in downtown McMinnville. There are several boat access points along the stream, along with fishing opportunities for a variety of native species.
