  • The Snowberry Clearwing is a species of moth also known as the “hummingbird moth” or “flying lobster.” 
  • Much like a hummingbird, the Snowberry hovers beside flowers while feeding. It’s long proboscis enables it to drink nectar from deep within flowers. 
  • Also like hummingbirds, the Snowberries rapid wing beats create a humming sound.
  • Native host plants for this species include coralberry and dogbane.
